Early childhood education and care is booming in South Australia, with services across Adelaide actively recruiting qualified educators. Two qualifications open the door — here's how to choose.
CHC30125 Certificate III: your entry ticket
The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care qualifies you to work as an educator in long day care, family day care, preschool and OSHC settings. You'll learn to support children's wellbeing, learning and development under the Early Years Learning Framework, with a mandatory placement in a regulated service.
CHC50125 Diploma: step into leadership
The Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care prepares you to lead rooms, design curriculum, mentor other educators and take on educational leadership. Many AWT graduates move straight from Certificate III into the Diploma.
What about checks and placement?
You'll need a valid Working With Children Check before placement. AWT's simulated childcare training rooms and industry partnerships make the transition into real services smooth.
Funding
Subsidised places may be available for eligible South Australians through Skills SA. Enquire to confirm your eligibility and the next monthly intake.
